Mr. O’Connor co-founded HighBrook in 2010 and served as the firm’s Non-Executive Co-Chairman until February 2026, when he stepped down from his governance roles as part of HighBrook’s long-term succession planning. He remains a member of the investment committees for HighBrook’s harvest-phase vehicles.

Prior to HighBrook, Mr. O’Connor co–founded and was Senior Managing Partner of High Rise Capital Management, L.P., a real estate securities hedge fund manager which operated several strategies for over a decade. In addition, he has extensive corporate governance experience, currently or having previously served on the Boards of several NYSE listed REITs, and having formerly served as a Director of Songbird Estates PLC (the publicly traded stakeholder of London’s Canary Wharf). Mr. O’Connor also has significant asset allocation and investing experience, serving on the Investment/Endowment Committees of numerous institutions and family offices.

He is a National Trustee of the PGA of America REACH Foundation, and for two decades served on the Executive Committee of the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. O’Connor earned a bachelor’s degree from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, and an MS in Real Estate Development & Investment from New York University.
